I only 3% of the book so it doesn't feel fair to rate it. I’m curious about the high ratings of this book? Was the fact that the author was a victim of child abuse affecting opinions. I'm sorry for that, too. The writing style in mobster speak was annoying "I'm gonna...you oughta" Many people noted that several chapters ended with "it was only going to get worse. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.

As I grew up I heard the stories f…moreI have read 4 of her books as I personally was born at the end of the depression and my family was able to survive. As I grew up I heard the stories from my mother's side of the difficulties the nation suffered during the depression. I was married at 17 but thanks to my father's time in WWII he was able to help my wife and I buy a home. My education was limited but I was able to get into the electronics as it began and was able to learn and progress to management. So I read these books so I can realize the advantages I have had in my youth.
