“JUST LISTEN

“When your mind is quiet and you listen closely, you will hear the children weeping silently. If you can’t quite hear their cries, then listen with your eyes. These are the children of the streets, who have learned pain and suffering before they ever had a chance to experience life. Do not ignore their cries for help, for all they wish is that you will rescue them. They do not have a family that wants them, they don’t know how it feels to be loved and they’ve never lived anywhere that felt like home…the streets are where they find their voice and relief from all of the suffering.

Just listen and you’ll see them.”
Paige Dearth, When Smiles Fade

“It is our flaws that make each one of us so perfect.”
Paige Dearth

“The important thing in life is not where you came from, but where you are going.”
Paige Dearth, Believe Like a Child

Christine Hatfield Thanks for being my friend

Sherri Jones What can I say about this book....From the moment I read the description, I waited for Paige to send me a copy in the mail(Thank you sooooo much Paige) I was not by any means disappointed! I applaude Paige for taking the chance to write about issues that some would find over the top and outlandish. I, myself, could relate to some of the occurrences that developed through "When Smiles Fade." "Normal" people would think these types of experiences don't exist, but in reality, they do! Alot more than most of us would like to admit. Being in law enforcement I have been jaded by what I have seen and wish that most of the victims could find a more encouraging way to survive, when faced with the same circumstances as Emma. I almost had to chuckle though, at the amount that Emma did, in fact, get away with. And anyone who was fully engulfed in the book, as I was, would not have been surprised by the ending. Well done Paige, I bow my head to you, please keep writing
