Do you have to read the other books in this series to read this one? I read it on it's own, not knowing it was part of a series, and it seemed fine but maybe it would be more enjoyable as a series?

Leslie Holm It can be read as a standalone, for sure, but I think reading the series does give it a bit of depth - and there are a few things that are much better…moreIt can be read as a standalone, for sure, but I think reading the series does give it a bit of depth - and there are a few things that are much better explained in the previous books, like the various worlds, the office of the Chrestomanci, the kids that live there, and the problem that ocured with Cat's sister. If you enjoyed this one at all, I recommend reading the others in order and maybe re-reading this one.(less)
