I have read Eskins' first two books and am about 80 pages into The Deep Dark.. Should I have read The Heavens May Fall before this?

Mark I read them in the reverse order and fully enjoyed "The Deep Dark Descending" without the earlier backstory, because Eskens lays it out plenty well en…moreI read them in the reverse order and fully enjoyed "The Deep Dark Descending" without the earlier backstory, because Eskens lays it out plenty well enough for enjoying the single book. It is now one of my favorite crime, or in this case justice, oriented novels ever.

If you intend to read both, read "The Heavens May Fall" first, because reading backwards I found it inferior to the later book in it's depth.(less)
