This novella and most of its corresponding book series is available at my library, for example. I have a big library though, so I'm not certain what a smaller library might carry. Some authors also release little novellas/short stories for free, but they're typically part of a bigger book series. Dana Marie Bell, Nalini Singh, and Ilona Andrews all have free short stories for their series through their websites.(less)
