I don't feel the most comfortable asking this question but I'm asking because this is a topic I don't tend to read about much out of, again, discomfort. Not because I can't accept what my ancestors did, more because I'm worried about the chance I might disagree with some of it. My question is, does this book require you to agree with all of it's views to be enjoyable or is it a good discussion piece in it's own right?

It's ok to disagree but make sure you have an understanding as to why you disagree and are actively listening to the opposing side of the argument to understand it not to negate it.(less)

Cultural appropriation is about taking something from a different culture and profiting from that in some way whereas when people of that cultural group receive backlash for exhibiting that said part of their culture. Reading a book about a different culture is cultural appreciation and educating yourself. (less)

I even find the title rude and hurtful to white people, and wondered why such a title was chosen? I the title had said black people it would be called racist as everything white people do is. Although I have to constantly be called white bitch, you stupid white people and so on.
