I will say though that although Lucy was more redeeming than Stephen, I thought she was horrible too, so I didn't really care if she ran, just the girls who he was cheating on with Lucy!(less)

I almost stopped reading in the beginning where Lucy prattled on about how all she needs is a little mascara, while her co-worker wore caked on makeup, she has willpower over food, while her co-worker eats yogurt with sugar, she wanted to escape her preppy life she grew up in, but was the biggest cliche moving to NY to be a writer, etc. People keep writing on here that they wanted to tell Lucy to run, but she wasn't so great either!(less)

The book is a lot more believable and less dramatic and dark. While Lucy is not entirely innocent in the book, it depicts her as much more of the victim and she is more likeable. I enjoyed both but found the book more true to life.(less)
