So, if this is "America: A Cultural History, Vol. I" and was originally published in 1989, which of Fischer's books comprise the rest of the series? A couple look like they could be considered cultural histories, for example Bound Away, but are not marked as such. Or did Fischer abandon the idea of a (formal) series on the topic?
