My spouse later expressed concern that Prince's close friend and spiritual mentor was "messing him up" and Mayte's view from the inside was obviously that this was the case.

With the exception of the drug abuse problems which were well-hidden under Prince's clean living claims, this book simply underlined everything I already knew or suspected about him. And good for her for selling it. Prince had no problem selling the stories of his women within his music and certainly did not pay them for it.(less)
