Stress on the last syllable; "ehz" rhyming kinda-sorta with "Pez" (like the candy).(less)

Sorry, I struggle to understand what the connection between “Teddy” and “Edward” is? Is it something in the names?— it seems to be obvious to all characters- but like- I don’t get it- ehhh

ClaireJ_KL Teddy is a pet name for someone called Edward. They could also be called Ed, Eddie, Ted or Teddy. I am sure there are other forms of the name.
