His book tells the story of the progress made in cosmology, most of which has been made in the last century of human existence. It is a physical description of the mechanisms in nature accounting for the Big Bang and the evolution of the universe. It explains how the Earth came into being enabling the cosmic accident of humanity, based upon the scientific method. The author does not deny God. Science simply does not require His existence to provide this current level of description. The author also does not maintain that this is a complete (whole) description. That's why the title of the book ends with "- So Far". The Light of the Truth is a spiritual treatise based upon scripture and faith. It preaches morality and provides behavioral guidance. It's always been science verses God. Man, as screwed up,sinful and fallible as we are, are always trying to fortify our existence with the ideas that this so called "BIG Bang" is the sole reason and for our existence....how man and creation came to be...you want to know ALL the answers to your most inner and thought provoking questions,then look to the Cosmos for the answers because that's where all of the answers lye,right?... People don't think for themselves anymore,or pay attention to their own heart,mind, or soul, NO, just turn on your computer and let Siri or some old cosmologists dictate your life for you..make life changing decisions for you without examining your own heart. Excepting the notion that there is no God just because someone said so, or because "science" suggest that there isn't, is pure stupidity and ignorance...This country's foundation stood on the belief of God and God blessed this country in every way possible and then this very country turned its back on God. The country that I once loved and was proud to have been born, has proven to be a severe disappointment. It is a spoiled country filled with over privileged and undeserved, and I must sadly say that I am no longer proud of this place anymore...People want to put their beliefs in machines, robots,AI. Why? Because people don't believe in themselves anymore, in their own spirit...moving without traveling...without connecting to anyone... connecting to nothing...No Thing but a damn cellphone. Although science does have its great and vast place in this world, it definitely is NOT the answer to EVERYTHING.(less)

I found it very thought-provoking and fascinating to hear about how the great discoveries in physics were made, the challenges that had to be overcome and what the discoveries meant for physicists and the rest of the human race.(less)

The last 20+ published books on Cosmology (together with the respective books on Evolution) are all a firing squad shooting God. They talk about Big Bang, black holes, dark matter, dark energy, expanding universe, M-theories etc., but their real target is God. They are a genuine disgrace to the respective science. Therefore, any new book of this kind is a book déjà vu and, you know, déjà published. (less)

I am a science, specifically physics, reader since the 60s. Having only attained a master's, (sorry the math did me in) I am forced to sit on the sidelines. With this background I have struggled with string/M-theory as being just so much math. Where do you stand on string in regard to the standard model? You kind of skirted it in this book
