He was the only one of all four sons to fight back against their father’s abuse. Second, he is technically legitimate, in that their father claimed him as his own, but Stoker’s real father was a painter (from Wales, I think). He noticeably looks different from his brothers, and everyone associated with the family has always known that he is not the elder Templeton-Vane’s son. (less)

I couldn't even figure out what the point of that whole story arc was. Veronica and Cordelia going abroad so that Veronica could sort out her feelings for Stoker was an adequate explanation. Why did there need to be a baby involved. It sort of set up Stoker telling Veronica that he would always take care of her but it had no other purpose. Then they dropped the who thing like it never happened. They never bothered to explain paternity. (less)
