3) The author takes us effortlessly from today's world to the days of Bloody Sunday and the Easter Uprising. Suddenly the days are as dangerous as they were then. Should those secrets be locked away?
4) Why do authors think they have to use this filthy language?
5) Did John Dowling's father travel on the ship with his son?
6) What is the driver to bolt on these ‘thriller’ sub plots, often ludicrous as this one is, to perfectly thrilling stories? Is the story of Irish independence and the quest to find the truth not riveting enough?
