in chapter 12 what is the secret of the survival on streets?

This book was very good and interesting the reason for this is because it was about a teenager who got kicked out of his house by his mums boyfriend and he ended up living on the streets so basically he turned into a homeless person and tried to survive living on the the rough streets of Bradford and he did everything he could to survive and did not give up so that's basically the story about him?

Does anyone know what street the murder happened on? And why would you say the murders happened?
