I would read it first, and then decide for yourself if it is something appropriate for your child or student. That said, when it is shelved in libraries, it is on the YA shelf, not the tween. It mentions alcohol, and mentions marijuana, and there is a simple kiss encounter with a boy. Hope this helps!(less)
