Am I the only one that noticed that Jake Witz's name is mentioned before he says what his name is? "He popped open the back of the camera, removed the battery, and then returned the now-useless camera to Jake." Later: "My name is Jake," the boy said smoothly, "Jake Witz." Am I missing something?

Does it matter whose story you read first, Gemma or Lyra?

I think it really adds to the story if you alternate. (less)
