The main protagonist is young in the first few books, but she grows up with the series (in the most recent S.P she's in her 20s)
They are a great read, very funny, highly entertaining and I'd defy anyone not to fall in love with Skulduggery!

It's very witty and thrilling, as well as reasonably violent and scary, but I decided it was a quality book and he is at the age where he will self-censor. No intimate relationships at least in the first book and it doesn't seem likely. He loves them by the way and has only been a little bit spooked at bedtime. (less)
