Why does Max Lucado say "the most repeated command from the lips of Jesus was 'Fear not'? Jesus' most repeated command was LOVE! I count 38 times in the four gospels Jesus tells us to love and find the words "fear not" only 11 times. And about half of those times, the command wasn't from Jesus but from an angel of the Lord.
Geeske Probably because other people said the same thing and Lucado repeated them. He is human after all. But kudos for you for counting it.

Max Lucado says in Chapter 10 that "every book in the Bible" contains the words "fear not." I don't believe this is true. I don't think they are in Esther or Malachi and probably a lot of the other books as well. Can anybody tell me where those words appear in every book?

You're right, it's not in every book, but in many nonetheless!

In any case the main point stands: God would love for us not to be afraid.(less)
