The comedic timing of the writing and the couples chemistry/banter reminded me of one of my other favorites, Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella.

Susan Elizabeth Phillips (who wrote Kiss An Angel suggested below) is also a hilarious contemporary romance author. My favorite of hers (and the first I ever read of hers) is probably Match Me if You Can. It's part of a series, but you don't have to start at the beginning. (less)
