So she has a lot of research behind her fiction. For myself as a reader, I almost feel that Weir really knows her the people she is writing about due to her non-fiction background. (less)

Aside from adding some dialogue and trying to have Katherine internalize some of the things that happened, it reads like history--so why not stick with the history? Katherine, in particular, is pretty boring anyway. Philippa Gregory tried to sex up her story by having her make a deal with Arthur to lie about them having consummated the marriage, but that didn't work for me either--ridiculous.(less)
Michell Karnes Depending on your 14 year...the book does mention when Katherine and Henry make love though there are no graphic details.
