Robin Reul Thank you so much! I do indeed! I am currently working on another contemporary YA (not a sequel to MKOC). Look for it hopefully sometime next year!

The book was inspired by…moreI am so sorry to be so delayed in answering this! I just stumbled across it today! :( First of all, thanks for the MKOC love! The book was inspired by a very special friendship I had when I was a teen - someone who was really a light in the darkness when I was struggling - and I wanted to capture the essence of that friendship and tell a story about human connection. At the time I wrote it, promposals were starting to be "a thing" and the idea of one going terribly wrong and kicking off an unlikely friendship seemed like a perfect vehicle to tell that story to infuse it with the humor juxtaposed against serious topics that I was looking for.(less)

I would start by getting in touch with Goodreads and letting them know, and ultimately they will likely put you in contact with the publisher, who is actually the one who sends it out directly to the winners. I'm so sorry that happened! I know it can sometimes take months for books to arrive, but that seems like it definitely should have by now. Once you get in touch and let them know, I'm sure they will make sure that gets to you ASAP!! (less)
