I would recommend to grades 8 and up due to mature language, and topics. Characters are high school seniors and I generally keep the the character age close to age of reader. Excellent book.(less)

Why would we not want kids to read this and jumpstart a better understanding?(less)

I think it is a good book. By why did the ending have to turn out the way it did? Why is it that there was not really any justice? The book help me learn about my culture,beliefs, and people. Is also showed me that there are many people in this world that cannot accept your color. Love the book hope another one come out.
