I loved the book, but had problems with the dates (the 40's) and the ages of the family members. Did anyone else have this problem?

Victor, Is there a lot of foul language in this one? Just curious; sometimes modern crime novels tend to include too much of this for me. I love a good mystery (just like my mom), but I don't enjoy reading one with a lot of foul language.

Alice Dinizo No, there is not a lot of foul language but there is North Carolina vernacular. However, this is a wonderful story and a first rate crime novel.

I have heard that this is the last Deborah Knott novel. Please say this is not true. What are some other good serials? Two other favorite series have also ended, The Cat Who and Bay Tanner of Hilton Head. Please suggest others.
