i'm about 75 pages in & this thing is sooooo slow - nothing scary at all. does it ever get scary or should i give up now?

I will say that the last half of the book has several more "frightening moments," increasing in intensity and frequency until the end. Without giving away spoilers, it would be hard to tell someone I don't know how scary it is.(less)

Does anyone know where to find a family tree or character list for this book? I am listening to the audio book and I wish there was any easy way to reference the characters so I can remind myself who everyone is. (Without having to ready through summaries of the book to find a character here and a character there). If anyone knows how to find a 'character chart' for other books as well that would be cool.
