My daughter is almost 14 and in the 8th grade. She and her girlfriends read book 1 because it was marked as young adult. My daughter showed me a few of the sex scenes and I was surprised at the level of detail for a YA. She finished the book and really wants to read book 2. Is this a YA book? Some of the sites call it YA and others New Adult. Is this any more graphic than Book 1?

That being said, I am reading it at the same time as my 15 year old daughter who is in 9th grade. We watched the movie version first and then wanted to explore the series. We are both on book 3. However, if you are not comfortable with opening up the flood gates on all things sex, then I would skip this. But my daughter is mature, and we have been having conversations about it constantly, so I’m comfortable with the decision to let her read it. Hope that helps!(less)

I just started reading the books and am on After I Collided. In chapter 3, it says Tessa left out details on what happened with Hardin when talking to her mom, but then in chapter 37 when Tessa's mom barges in at Christmas, she knows every detail. Did I miss something??

Nicole Moynihan If I am remembering correctly, Tessa ends up telling Noah everything so we can assume he went ahead and told her mom all of the details.
