The tags say it's BDSMl. Is it totally based on Dom/Sub relationship or a regular contemporary rom with a hint of a Dom MC? Cuz I really don't like BDSM based novels, they just don't speak to me. Please tell me.

There's really only one scene, …moreI don't really like BDSM based novels either, but I read this one because Kresley Cole wrote it and actually loved it. There's really only one scene, maaaaaybe two, that I thought pushed the envelope a little bit, but even that was very mild for BDSM. Cole starts us off slow- not the sex, that's hot as ever and right from the get go!- and gently introduces some BDSM concepts. I would normally not suggest this, but if you're looking into this series, I suggest you start with this one and then read The Professional... while this one follows the events of the first, it's not ABSOLUTELY necessary to read them in order.
