With the final move, and the winter jacket smelling like rain, it's as if the character is finally moving forward. Just like spring comes after winter, rain after snow.(less)

But I know what you mean, she doesn't feel like she's a criminal in her heart - it's the life she finds herself in that allows her to see criminal behaviour as normal. Which makes the title feel more apt.(less)
Cara Segger For the right 13-year-old, it could be a life-saving read. Literally. But for most 13-year-olds who still have their innocence, let them keep it.
