Hey! Is there actual "M/M romance" in this? Kissing, sex, love in a prominent way? Or is it just alluded to or fade to black kind of stuff? I want to read some queer fantasy books with legit romance that is as relevant as hetero romance.. :)

There's a LOT of plot to get through before it starts, though, jsyk, and something that did bother me was that (possible spoiler, but like...) the relationship can be read as grooming, albeit much less malicious than grooming usually is.(less)

So the blurb says First in a Trilogy but it was published in 2000 (17 years ago as of this post) and I don't see any more on the author's page. Is the series dead?

Tom I think The Ordinary and The Last Green Tree would be considered sequels.
