I just saw that Will Trent has a pilot episode coming out in 2023. I am so excited about this. But have reservations too. The actor playing him is not what I imagined him to be. Will is suppose to be blondish and over 6 feet. This actor is Hispanic and maybe 5 foot 9? Doesn’t work! What’s the deal? I am all for diversity. But when there is a specific description of a character, that’s what I’m expecting.

He's been in my head for years and I love his character. Will is awkward and quirky. This actor seems too smooth. It's like changing Sara to a short Chinese lady. It just doesn't work. (less)

I have read all the Karin Slaughter books, she's a very muscular writer who doesn't shy away from graphic descriptions always done in the service of the story. Love her tortured,fragile,fractured FBI agent Will Trent, he's a very compelling character and beautifully drawn. He continues to grow from one story to the next. No question here more of a statement.

Jo Ann Reinhold I have read all her books too! I love her characters, even the ones I hate! She really has a way with her writing that draws you right into the story.
