I like mysteries, but I don't like graphic violence? Does this book graphically describe the murders or is it more about the intricacies of solving, etc.? Thanks

I like crime novels and had read reviews mentioning grisly details, but I did not expect the extreme brutality and very detailed violence throughout the book. I found it very disturbing and will not read any more books in the series.(less)

But the daughter didn't want the dog, didn't want to admit that her mother even had the dog so she said that when her mother was yelling "Betty" she was yelling at herself, just another sign of her senility.(less)

Melynda The coroner confirmed it was an accident, and other than that they dont mention it. I think it was just a loose end the author forgot to tie up.
