In the story about the babysitter, she says, "Penny Wilson must have wanted a baby of her own in the worst way...and obviously, she loved me a little too much."
Also, in the scene where she eats Lee, she asks him why and he says, "I know I've been cold. You know I had to be."
I think this alludes to the fact he knows what her trigger was.(less)
