My major beef with The Knife of Never Letting go was the writing style used on Todd. Ex: attenshyn (for attention) and musta (must have) It was a distraction for me. Does this happen in this book as well? Thanks.

I did not like the first book very much at all. The reading style was interesting, the story line was different, I just felt like the pace was terrible and repetitive. Is it worth it to read the rest of the series?

Additionally, the male protagonist makes excuses for engaging in evil, as he easily becomes a Nazi (the inhabitants of the planet men invaded are the equivalent of European Jewry who were enslaved & slaughtered). I have come to hate him and the stupid bratty girl, who is repeatedly ungrateful to the only person with a backbone to do what it takes to stop evil.(less)

I read the first book and loved it. But started the second one and it wasn't as thrilling, does it get better? Should I keep reading it?
