I know the movie shows Michael as the same age as Jane. But was he a child or a grown-up when he was Jane's imaginary friend during her childhood? In the first chapter, Jane says that he's the handsomest "man" she has ever seen. But that could be because she's retelling her story after [spoilers removed] What do you guys think?

Not too far into the book, but I'm finding the whole idea of this a little creepy. Aren't children's imaginary friends usually other CHILDREN?
Michelle Yeah, I get it. I found it more creepy that they fell in love. He was like a father/grandfather figure to her as a child.

Is this a YA book?
Michelle I would say yes. I found it a little young. There is a mild sex scene though.
