Any idea about book 3 of the Sunbolt Series? Memories of Ash blew me away! I was saving it until I had a long period of time to sit and read - it was worth saving.

I'm afraid I don't have any ideas on possible release dates--I'm still working on the first draft, and it usually takes me between four and six drafts to reach completion. But I will do my best to update this thread when I do have news to share! (less)

Great second book, but i would really like to know is her mother a good person to know or not? I would like to know the reasons behind her mother's actions. I also would like to know how she is going to help the phonex fix the dead lands with her magic tied up. I can hardly wait till the next one comes out.

So... Hitomi's mother. Hmm. She is an interesting character, isn't she? I can't tell you much about her as she does figure in the next books, but rest assured you will find out more about her, and her motives, by the end of the series! And yes, Hitomi does face a pretty tall order in trying to fix the Burnt Lands as things stand. While she can't do everything anymore, Hitomi still has the singular ability to think creatively about problems and develop alliances in the most unusual places. I suspect those will help her a lot as she continues on her adventures! ;)

While a few of…moreAh, this is an awesome question! I wish I had a good answer. I did a lot of image searching when I was thinking about Hitomi's tattoos. While a few of the pics I found were evocative of what I imagined them to look like, I didn't find anything I liked enough to link here. I'm also not at all an artist, so no doodles for you either!

The phoenix on the cover was designed with my description of the tattoo in mind, but it also had to be able to stand on its own as a cover design. So the lines and shape are more suggestive of what that part of the tattoo might look, rather than exactly what I would have envisioned. Mostly, though, I wanted to leave the exact beauty of the tattoo up to the readers' eye. Sorry I don't have more for you! :)(less)

My original plan for Book 3 was to include a bit more in the romance department, but my draft did not go there at all. I'm in the process of revising it right now (yay!) and we'll see how things shake out. I can promise that Hitomi will be happy at the end of this series (expected total of 4 books), but how that will happen, and if it will involve a romantic relationship, I can't yet say.
