In terms of other books, if you like Fanny Flagg, any of her books, or even the Miss Julia books by Ann B. Ross. Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Simonson, and my favorite this year, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Hang in there for the last one, it is not what you think it is going to be when you start out. (less)
