While his writing is actually pretty lovely, and the story itself had promise, the characters did absolutely nothing for me. I don't think i liked a single one, really. That makes any book a tough sell for me.(less)

Sandhill cranes still visit the Central Platte River Valley. It becomes historical fiction when there are no longer any cranes.

Nebraska Game and Parks remains very interested in any whooping crane sightings.(less)
