I think so… It’s not a book intended for kids for sure and there are some subtle meanings that kids wouldn’t get probably (societal critique etc.), but I can’t see anything that would be harmful to kids… There is one episode though…
<spoiler>where Flush is kidnapped, and the ransom is asked for and it is said that if that wouldn’t be paid the dog’s head and paws would be delivered to the family. That doesn’t happen, but if you have sensitive kid it might be distressing.</spoiler>
Personally, I believe that as a lover of Gerald Durrell and all animal related books, I would like this book as a kid, but… everyone is different.(less)
