And no, seems like the author try to make a big deal about Charles' penis size but the if you read more to the end of the book it's definitely not about the penis size that make Chloe run from her wedding. There's a lot about Charles that makes her dislike him and there's Lucas also in the picture(less)

So yeah, it can be read as standalone but you'd be left wondering about some character that seems to have quite a connection with the main character.(less)
