I found the ones on Windows 7 and Windows 8 particularly good, but there's also Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guide. It's not good literature, but it is good learning because of it.

Design books rarely go into the details, which is where the actual design is, and are happy to just tell a good story with pictures.(less)
