Many are place…moreI absolutely hated this book and understand your frustration. However , I have witnessed the glorification of college football coaches. Many are placed on pedestals, especially the ones who win college championships. These coaches are paid millions of dollars and are paid handsomely for advertising endorsements (i.e. beverages, cars, insurance etc.). They supervise up to 125 players, at least 5-9 coordinators, assistant coaches, trainers, physical therapists, etc. They are considered school ambassadors, recruiters, counselors, media spokesmen and fundraisers. Top college football programs generate millions of dollars in revenue. In order to produce a winning team, schools have no problem paying millions of dollars to successful coaches. In turn, many are treated like rock stars or celebrities. (less)
