Is this at all similar to the Netflix series?

There's no magic in the book, and Tiuri is not followed by Arman, Foldo, etc. Also, one of the knights is changed into a girl. There's added romance between characters, Tiuri's parents are very different, there was no mention of racism in the book, and the villain never appears (only smaller villains are seen in the book).
