But from my un…moreI take it from the description that the postcard was of the Eiffel Tower, and I'm not familiar with D.B. Cooper so I can't answer that. But from my understanding, the little tanget was about the thirst for discovery and an escape from the mundane. The whole series was a lot about wonder and discovering new worlds, and this little bit, (to my understanding, of course) was a vignette of this, and how it can be comforting even to know the world outh there and not have to see it, like how he made the tower. That wonder inspired him, into a debatable obsessed state, which was all whisked away by greater forces in an instant. So, tldr: A reflection of the trilogy's themes of wonder and discovery and how it can be both comforting and fleeting.(less)
