Additionally, is this book still relevant to a reader in 2016, given that it talks about email security, but was published in 2000?
Audrey It covers up through public key cryptography and the RSA algorithm (still in use in 2018) but is missing the most up-to-date information about quantum…moreIt covers up through public key cryptography and the RSA algorithm (still in use in 2018) but is missing the most up-to-date information about quantum computers and quantum cryptography. However, it does at least mention them and explain the idea. I learned enough that I was able to understand current (2018) online articles about quantum computing.(less)

Would 10th graders be able to follow this book?
SHNILA PARVEEN Absolutely, it is very accessible for people who are entirely unaware about cryptography. I wish I had read it when I was in 10th grade!

I saw this book for sale in my bookstore's "Noteworthy Books" section, but under a different name "The Evolution of Secrecy From Mary Queen of Scots to Quantum Cryptography". Does anyone know why there are two editions that were published within a year of each other under slightly different titles?? What is the difference?
