Why does it say "The Books of Bayern"? Is the author referencing Bavaria? (Bavaria in German is called Bayern)
Lara Willard According to the author interview at the back of the book, Bayern is inspired in part by Germany, so that could explain the name!

Merit I wouldn't recommend this book to people under 15 years old, as it contains some gruesome imagery. But it is a matter of opinion - nowadays it is more…moreI wouldn't recommend this book to people under 15 years old, as it contains some gruesome imagery. But it is a matter of opinion - nowadays it is more and more common to subject young children to violence and other stuff. I personally don't think that's right and I know I would have been shocked by certain aspects of this book if I had read it as a child. Even as an adult I'm uncomfortable with them.
Moreover, this story often felt more like a modern world than a typical nice fairytale world.(less)
