I probably missed something somewhere but was it ever explained why Shallan hugged Wit and was so excited to see him? Or is that something that is probably going to be addressed in a later book?

I just started reading this book, and sadly I find it a little bit boring. granted I have only read around 120 pages but I can't seem to get myself to enjoy it... Do you guys think it will get better later on or should I just drop it and read something new?

Although the wait for the 3rd book makes me wish I'd stop starting unfinished series. (less)
