There many others, and some of their books are better than others. But for me, it's like that old shoe relationship, comfortable, warm and known.(less)

I have more or less stopped reading John Grisham. A Time to Kill, his first novel, and the novel that precedes Sycamore Row was gut wrenching. Sycamore Row was a long boring read of talking heads and legalese. I cannot even give credit to the 'twist' at the end because I more or less saw it coming. For this reader it was something of a disappointment.

However, the prior one I listened to, The Confession, about the death penalty was boring and preachy with cardboard characters. (less)
