The characters from the show largely do not appear in the book, and those few that do are very different from their television counterparts.

It's a good book to read if you're a fan of the show (that's why I picked it up, actually,) but it's best to consider it a separate work in a similar vein, rather than direct source material. (less)

1. why are the Returned not surprised that their are loved ones, who remained living, aged since time went past? They don't even say things like 'oh you look a bit older' 2. Do the bodies still stay in the graves, why does nobody dig the graves out to check this?

I read this book because my truly loved-one died some years ago. I thought this book would me make me strong again. Because if, if only .. this could come true. Alas, it didn't bring me the comfort as I hoped. Pitty the tellyversion will be shown as from October 6 at SBS6 on Dutch television.
