This is the first book of Christie i am gearing up for. Any comments on it? Should it be continued in series?

Glad to hear you beginning on Christie, she is my favourite author and I'm sure you'll love her too. This book is great to start off with. I won't reveal any spoilers, although its definitely a surprising read. It is a little different from the other Poirot books, as this is told from two points of view, but once you get reading, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Especially the big reveal at the end!

With regards to whether you have to read them in order the answer is no, you don't! The books don't exactly follow on, and whilst their may be very slight references to other mysteries the've solved, each book is its own story. I'm reading them out of order too, and just picking whichever one takes my fancy. I'm hoping to read them all though:)

If you want a recommendation on what Christie to read next, I'd go for And Then There Were None- not a Poirot or Miss Marple, just a standalone book. It's my favourite and I believe its definitely one of her best!(less)
