Recently saw the movie again and also read the story it is based on. My question is about the scene where Jack proposes they go to Mexico and Ennis reacts. “I got a say this to you one time, Jack, and I ain’t foolin. What I don’t know,” said Ennis, “all them things I don’t know could get you killed if I should come to know them.”' What does Ennis means by 'things I don't know could get you killed?'
