There is a lot to discuss: women’s places in history, to be sure; history / reputation of the nursing profession; love vs commitment both as ideas and through the time periods; ptsd and its consequences both today and during the Great War; the “band of brothers” effect during war; and probably other things I’m missing. I think this would be a fun book to read with a book club.(less)
